Entry process

If you work within the UK mortgage industry, you are eligible to self-nominate, have your say and cast your vote. The nominations and judging process has been further improved to ensure that only the very best in the business are recognised as Mortgage Strategy award winners. The details of this complex process are outlined below.

Please ensure you read our Entry Rules & Guidelines and FAQs before you get started.

STAGE 1:  SELF-NOMINATIONS

Firms from within the UK mortgage industry are invited to put themselves forward for consideration in the industry vote by completing a short form.

Please note: only one self-nomination per company is required.

Subject to approval from the Mortgage Strategy editorial team, eligible firms will be taken forward to the next stage - the industry vote.

SELF-NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN - CLOSING ON TUESDAY 11 NOVEMBER AT 11:55 PM

STAGE 2: INDUSTRY VOTE

The entire UK mortgage industry is given the opportunity to have their say and cast their vote for their top firms of 2025 or nominate any firms not already on the list.

Voters can have their say in as many categories as they’d like.

Companies are welcome to vote for themselves but only one internal vote per company will be counted towards the final total.

VOTING WILL OPEN IN NOVEMBER

STAGE 3: LONGLIST ENTRY FORMS

All votes are thoroughly reviewed by the Mortgage Strategy editorial team.

The firms with the highest number of votes in each category are selected to become our longlist.

Longlisted firms are then invited to submit entry forms.

LONGLISTING WILL TAKE PLACE IN JANUARY 2026

STAGE 4: ONLINE JUDGING

Our expert panels of industry judges then review all entry forms, providing scores & comments for each entry.

STAGE 5: SHORTLISTING & JUDGING SESSIONS

The scores from the online judging create our shortlist.

Shortlisted brokers and distributors are then invited to attend a short video interview with our judges.

Shortlisted lender entries are debated by an industry panel who will decide the winners.

SHORTLISTING & JUDGING WILL START IN MARCH 2026

SELF-NOMINATION FAQs

All self-nominations must be submitted by 11:55pm on Tuesday 11 November in order to be included in the next stage of the process, the industry vote.

To submit your self-nomination, please follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the Award categories page and select the relevant category/ies
  2. Log in to an existing account / create an account. Please note you only need to create a new account if you haven't previously entered or booked a table to attend the Awards.
  3. You will then be taken to the basket page (step 1). The category/ies that you have selected will appear under the ‘Awards Nomination’ heading and you can complete the required information (company name and a short supporting statement).
  4. You can then ‘Continue’ at the bottom of the page to proceed through the basket process.
  5. You will receive a confirmation email from the system once your self-nomination has been successfully submitted.

If you have entered the Awards previously, you will be able to use this account to self-nominate. If this is your first time entering, you will need to create an account.

To create your account, first visit the Award categories page and select the category/ies that you would like to self-nominate into either by clicking the 'Self-Nominate Now' button, or by using the tick boxes to select multiple categories and then clicking 'process' in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

You can self-nominate in as many categories as you'd like. To do so, visit the Award categories page, and use the tick boxes in the top right hand corner of each category box to select the categories you'd like to self-nominate into. You will then be asked to login to an existing account / create an account, before being taken through to a basket page where you can complete the required information for each category and submit.

We ask all firms to submit a short supporting statement to summarise why they are putting themselves forward for the particular category, and with a brief company bio. This is to assist our editorial team when reviewing all self-nominations before putting them through to the public vote stage.

Supporting statements should be no more than 200 words.

No - only one self-nomination per company is required at this stage. All nominations will be reviewed by the Mortgage Strategy editorial team, and subject to their approval, will then be put forward at the industry voting stage in November 2025.

Click on the person icon in the top right corner of the menu bar and enter the email address and password that you used when you first started your self-nomination. You will then be taken through to your dashboard and will be able to continue (up until the entry deadline).

Please contact Megan Trappitt on +44 (0) 203 953 2357 or email Megan Trappitt , and she will be able to help you with your nomination.
